Action creates belief
Belief is a feeling.
And feelings come and go.
Some weeks you wake up convinced it is all going to work out.
Other weeks you can't remember why you started.
The problem isn't that you lose belief.
The problem is building a career that requires belief to function.
Because when belief drops to zero - and it will - what happens then?
Most of us stop.
We wait for inspiration to return.
We wait to "feel it" again.
We tell ourselves we'll get back to work when we're in the right headspace.
And while we're waiting, momentum dies.
Relationships go quiet.
And our project becomes invisible.
If our careers depended on feeling motivated, we'd never do half the things we need to do to survive.
With that, it is best to build a bias towards action.
Why?
Action generates evidence.
And evidence builds belief.
The doing comes first.
The believing follows.
