Undoing
Undoing what is done can be difficult.
Unwinding your work can bring up memories you're ready to leave behind.
You may ask what it means to move on from something you spent years building.
What does it mean to leave what you depended on?
How can something so central to who you were feel so unlike who you are?
Stepping away can be as brave as staying.
But knowing which to choose can be a challenge.
Is it time to start fresh or double down?
Often there isn’t a clear right or wrong.
There is an instinct.
A feeling stronger than before.
If you decide it’s right to let go, take your time undoing your work with the same care you put into doing it.
Some things may be worth the effort to carry forward.
Others may have served their purpose.
You may still look back with questions.
But if you’re as careful undoing as building, you’ll know you honored what you made and how you left it.
